New agenda item added to October Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting >
HELENA – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on a proposed Hannah Ranch conservation easement proposal that will go before the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission during its virtual meeting on Oct. 14.
The proposal is to purchase a conservation easement to protect 3,652 acres of important wildlife habitat on the Hannah Ranch, provide public access to the encumbered private and adjoining public lands, and ensure the land continues to be used for traditional agricultural practices. The proposed Hannah Ranch Term Conservation Easement is for a 99-year term.
Comments must be submitted by Oct. 9 through the Hannah Ranch public-comment portal on FWP’s October commission meeting webpage or mailed to: Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission, c/o commission liaison Jesse May, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701.
Public comment is open only for the Hannah Ranch agenda item. All other items on the October commission meeting agenda are closed to public comment.

You can comment virtually, but you must register in advance. Registration opens Sept. 30 and closes at noon on Oct. 13. Comment time at the meeting may be limited at the commission chair's discretion.
